Grants

Behind the scenes our board of directors supported by our grants sub committee have all been working hard to secure Grant funding for various parts of the Fox Inn refurbishment and renovations, below are some of our successes to date, with each grant that we secure it shows that there is support for the vision that we and our supporters have for the Fox Inn, in turning it in to a viable and thriving community hub for all in the surrounding neighbourhood.

we are still working hard to secure more Grants but this takes time and effort by all concerned

Grants so far

Parish Council £375 towards cost of repair to wall at the entrance to the car park

Garboldisham Parish Charities £500 towards renovation of the Fox Public House

Garboldisham Surveyor’s Charity £500 towards materials for renovation

Pub is the Hub £3,000 towards a cafe

We have been successful in obtaining this grant funding for installing a mini kitchen to allow us to provide a facility for teas, coffees and a limited offering of cold and hot food as a cafeteria that may operate alongside and outside of general pub opening hours.
The building work will commence shortly and will be undertaken largely by volunteers.
There will be some initial disruption while as we will have to re-site the bar stock temporarily for the initial phase of work. Please bear with us, we will try and keep the disruption to a minimum.
The grant requires us to “match fund” but contributions by way of volunteer work and donated equipment will count towards this although we will need to employ specialist contractors for the plumbing, electrical and ventilation services.
Once open the cafeteria operation may require additional volunteers to help out to run the café and to serve our customers. To this end it is intended to offer some training in Food Safety in Catering to a number of cafeteria volunteers.
If you know of anyone who may like to participate or is interested in participating in helping set up or running the new venture please contact Us via our contact us option
