March has got of to a wet start for us, not a planned event but we had a burst water main along the B1111 just in front of the pub, which made for a difficult few days.
But things started to look up on Friday when I got a personal message on social media from our local camra branch to inform us that we have been named as the Cider pub of the year for their region for 2019. (More to follow on this when we receive the presentation).
Back to March events our streetfood saturday got of to a good start with Tasty Thailand another sell out night of streetfood. We will be having some great street food every Saturday. This month sees us hosting another Art Exhibition, (by the Mellis art Group), 2 music nights, first one on St Patrick’s Day Eve (Saturday 16th March) with some Irish folk music from Samhire, (Fancy dress along with some Irish streetfood is the order of the night on the Saturday) then at the end of the month Shaven Horse arr back with us, the 6 Nations Rugby matches are still being shown, the Little Fox Cafe is on the 3rd Friday once again and then on the 24th March we are hosting our very first Sunday lunch session from midday till about 3pm with another one coming along in April after which we will sit down and review them to see if they are something we will continue. Lets not forget our social running group The Fox Trotters who meet up here at the Fox ever Wednesday for a run, chat & a drink. So why not join us and join in the fun, surly something for everybody.
